Bank of America HAMP Litigation. On July 19, 2010, the Law Office of Noah Axler filed a class action lawsuit in federal court alleging that Bank of America has wrongly failed to modify borrowers’ mortgages under the Federal Home Affordable Modification Program (“HAMP”) . Second HAMP Class Action Filed. On December 2, 2010, the Law Office of Noah Axler, with several colleague law firms, filed a second HAMP class action against Bank of America in federal court in Illinois, on behalf of residents of Illinois. Both HAMP class actions filed by the Firm have been consolidated in the District of Massachusetts, along with a number of additional HAMP class action suits filed in various other states. On January 21, 2011, Plaintiffs in the consolidated proceedings in Massachusetts filed a Consolidated Complaint, which included claims by the Pennsylvania and Illinois plaintiffs.
